Simon Cowell Alludes To The Pregnancy Of His Friend’s Wife

Yesterday was the TCA panel for X Factor, and of course Simon Cowell was in attendance. And he has been in the headlines non stop for the past 3 days or so considering the fact that he knocked up his friend’s wife. Which… is pretty bad. That’s one of the worst things you can do to someone I would think. Anyway, of course reporters wanted to hear his side of the story.

“Am I missing something?” Cowell quipped when offered congratulations by reporters. Getting serious, he continued: “Unfortunately, I have to keep this for the moment private. It’s just one of those things. But thank you very much anyway.”

After Cowell and X Factor cohorts Demi Lovato, Kelly Rowland and others completed their panel about season three of the Fox reality show, reporters again asked about Silverman’s headline-making pregnancy and Cowell’s impending fatherhood. “I would love to [talk], but I have to respect a lot of people’s feelings right now,” he explained. “There a lot of things I will eventually clear up when the time is right, but I really have to be sensitive because there’s a lot of people’s feelings involved here.”

That’s a good response. I’m sure he’s just as shocked as the rest of us. I don’t think this was his intention from the beginning.. he was just out for some fun….and now he has a lifetime of responsibility! Hah. The wife has come forward as well, Lauren Silverman. And basically she just wants privacy for her and the 7 year old son she shares with Simon’s (former) friend Andrew Silverman. What a frickin mess these two have made out of their lives.
