LAPD: Leah Remini’s Missing Person Report Is Unfounded

Well, that was quick. Yesterday Leah filed a missing persons report for Shelly Miscavige, wife of Scientology head David Miscavige, who hasn’t been seen publically in 6 years. Apparently LAPD had a face to face with Shelly and decided the claim was unfounded. Unfortunately, we still don’t know if this woman is being held against her will (which is what the rumor has been for years).

And of course the ‘Church’ isn’t taking this well.

“This ill-advised, ludicrous self-promotion and the media inquiries it generated caused an inexcusable distraction for the LAPD in an era when the time and resources of its officers are stretched thin each day. Creating this unnecessary burden for law enforcement was even more irresponsible given the entire episode was nothing more than a publicity stunt for Ms. Remini, cooked up with unemployed, anti-religious zealots who blog on the fringe of the Internet. Sadly, rather than move on with her life and career, Ms. Remini has aligned herself with a handful of untrustworthy, lunatic tabloid sources who obsessively harass the Church to advance their selfish agendas.”

I still think that something fishy is going on here. It’s some scary cult shit, that is for sure. Thankfully Leah and her whole family has left this ‘religion’ and is trying to uncover their creepy secrets.
