So did y’all catch The Sound of Music live broadcast the other night? I recorded it but haven’t gotten around to watching it yet. Now I’m kinda wondering if I should even bother. Pretty much everyone online and everywhere says Carrie’s acting is abhorrent. On the other hand, Stephen Moyer (vampire Bill!) was enjoyed! Ha! Awesome. So, Carrie kinda responded on twitter to all the ‘haters’ (god I hate that term) including the children from the original movie who basically eviscerated her performance.
“Plain and simple: Mean people need Jesus,” 30-year-old Underwood wrote via Twitter on Friday, Dec. 6. “They will be in my prayers tonight…1 Peter 2:1-25.” The Bible scripture Underwood cites states to “rid yourselves of all malice and all deceit, hypocrisy, envy, and slander of every kind.”
Didn’t she realize she would have some criticisms? I think she is confusing ‘meanness’ and ‘critiques’. She should feel fine anyway, because like 18 million people tuned in which is HUGE. As someone mentioned on twitter, be ware of the next one Taylor Swift in ‘Evita’ live coming to ABC.
