That’s a huge achievement. But within the hashtags, he mentioned Thinspiration, which is a term used widely by pro-anorexic websites and groups. So, it’s not something someone would want to endorse especially a public figure. Things got heated, he said a lot of things that he probably (hopefully) regrets at this point and he publically apologized. Apparently, it was too little too late for the Travel Channel.
The 40-year-old former host of Man V. Food was set to start a new series, Man Finds Food, but the network pulled the program after news of Richman’s graphic tirade broke.
The network has pulled the show from its schedule and removed all traces of the program from its website.
I think they’ll probably wait till the fall, when this has been forgotten by the internet and try again. And then we’ll dig it up again because I’m an asshole. Anyway, Man VS Food was better.
